Personal Project:
Body Parts
I have always loved jutting out collarbones so I took this picture and upped the contrast. I look the natural curve that the collarbone offers and how delicate it is at the same time.
Here is another look at hands but in a completely different perspective. I included the arms more for a different feel. And the hands are not cupped as they were in the last one. I like the gesture of the hands and to see the veins running through.
Next, I photographed hands because I think they are so interesting and distinct to an individual. With wrinkles and rings hands are really personal and tell you a lot about the individual. As well as the last picture I upped the contrast.
This is the first of my series, I decided to focus on body parts because being a dancer I have learned to utilize different body parts. For example, your ankle. I love the natural curvature of the ankle and i think it really stands out in black and white. I also upped the contrast to make the whites, more white.

Annotated Pictures:
I added the word noisey to this photo because its in Grand Central Station problem one of the busiest and noisiest places on earth, it felt right with the mood of the picture.

I added the word boredom to this picture because the model's expression seems extremely bored. I used normal font because it seemed the most boring and generic.
I added the word delicate into the photo because I think that each flower petal is extremely delicate. I faded the word and put it further into the background as if it were one of the petals.

I think that this photo is extremely serene with the candle light, so I added the word serenity. I put it in cursive because I think that adds to the mood even more.

I think this picture has a bit of sadness in it. And the big nail seems so lonely, so I put the word lonely to display that emotion. I also faded it to match the bark a little more.

Being in New York for the summer was one of the happiest times of my life. So I added the word happiness hanging on the bridge to display how that city brought me happiness. I made the word pink to match the sky :)

The lights really display the chaos that goes on in a city, so I added the word chaotic to help display just how chaotic a city can get.

I think that this picture really displays pride because of the multiple "I HEART NY" so I decided to put the word pride in, adding to those who have so much pride for their city.

This picture displays me being carefree and living life by throwing the leaves up into the air. I also put the word carefree up in the air so it looks as though I am throwing that word as well.

This picture was taken over Winter break while I was in Costa Rica, I was feeling so happy and blissful so I put bliss in the water. I hope that I convey the emotion well, because it truly was bliss.
